Earth Run was held on April 15, 2012 at Bonifacio Global, Taguig City. It is an annual event which promotes awareness to value the importance of taking good care of our planet that starts with simple doings that should come from each and everyone of us.. making our world a better place to live starting from now, for the future and the next generations. There was a great number of participants who joined here that made the registration closed earlier than expected. Registrations were closed for they ran out for the 5k and 21k slots. Our group planned to have the 5k but took the chance for granted, not knowing that slots will run out that fast. Good thing, i was able to research who the race organizer is and coordinated with her to provide slots for us. However, there's no more 5k slots left, only 3k and 16k. We had no choice but to get the remaining slots since we really wanted to join.
All of us were down to 3k categories and 16k for Chester (Tey) Got his first Finisher's Medal. We are so proud of him for his commitment and motivation to run for extra kilometres more every after our official runs. 3k for Run United 1, 6k for EyeRun, 10k for BDO then 16k for Earth Run. Good job! Looking forward to Run United 2 on June. He's gonna take his first 21k and the rest of us will go on our 10K!
We're very much excited! In preparation to that big event, Run United 2, Second Leg (that we consider in our group) we will have more runs prior to that. Next will be the Hyundai Run on April 29, MediRun on May 19 and maybe Caltex Run on May 27.

BDO Race For Life 2012 : My 1st Official 5k Run
BDO Unibank, in coordination with the BDO Foundation, will hold its 4th annual fund raising run dubbed as “Race 4 Life”. It was held on March 25, 2012 (Sunday) at the Marathon Route of Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Proceeds will help fund the housing projects of BDO Foundation, Inc. for typhoon victims. This is our first new KM run. My First 5k Run together with Paul, Oddy, Maybel and first 10k Run for Tey. We arrived at the event exactly on assembly time but the gun start for all categories were adjusted due to probable rainfall. But the weather was fine that day and we had a good run. Finished my first official 5km run in 36mins! <3
Kudos to Odlanyer Barcenas who was able to finish the 5k and was awarded being in Top 50 Finishers. Nice! First Medal =)
St. Luke's International Eye Institute Eye Run 2012: My 2nd Official 3km Run
In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, the St. Luke’s Medical Center International Eye Institute (SLMC-IEI) hosted this run for the benefit of indigent pediatric patients from the Mt. Province requiring corneal transplantation to restore vision which has been severely impaired by a congenital eye condition. This was held on March 11, 2012 at Bonifacio Global City. We enjoyed the booths from the sponsors where we had free breakfast in small portions and then the energy drinks. One of our running buddies, Magie even won the raffle prize for a hotel accommodation.

ShengRunsForLove
It's been years now since I write on a blog. I can't even remember the last time that i did. I decided to make one again when I finally decided to start something new for this year. As you can see, this blog's name is ShengRunsForLove. Credits to Coach Rio Dela Cruz who became my inspiration in his passion to promote healthy lifestyle by running and organizing as such for worthy cause. I've read much of the quality races that his team had organized and I am glad that I was able to join and experienced it for my first ever official run of this year last March 4, 2012 for RunRio in partnership with Unilab, RUN UNITED 1. It is a so-called Run Trilogy for it has 3 Legs. The Leg 1 was already done and I believe the Leg 2 will be on June 17, 2012.
I'll also join some fun runs together with my officemates, who happen to be my friends as well and running buddies. (Odlanyer Barcenas, Maybel Tiamson, Chester Ventura) hmm,, and what do we call to the four of us guys? haha! Let me know if you already had a good thought of it. And I might as well need to include our Shutterbug runner Paul Gynyrd who will likely join us to the future runs.
